JCS (Jesus. Christ. Servant)
[A Good Servant of Jesus Christ ]
If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed JCS has been through the flames, from running the streets to now serving the Lord.
JCS (aka Nick) was born and raised in Spokane, WA. Gangsta rap music fueled his mind as a young kid. After watching his family be ripped apart by his dad’s crack addiction he quickly turned to the streets. His rebellious adolescent years quickly took him into a downward spiral. At the age of 12 he was labeled an at risk youth and was in and out of juvenile detention. Struggling to find a piece of happiness and joy in life drugs and alcohol began to be his mane focus. JCS dropped out of school at the age of 16 and began selling drugs and robbing people to support his habits. The street life style quickly caught up with him. At the age of 20, JCS was court ordered and sent to drug and alcohol treatment. This is where he first felt the call of God on his life. JCS discovered a whole new life in Jesus Christ a life of purpose and meaning. For so many years being blinded from the truth JCS began to hunger for the Lord and His truth through the Word Of God.
JCS has been rapping since the age of 11. In 2004 after excepting Jesus into his life he began to use his gift of rapping for the Kingdom of God. He began making beats and recording music in his apartment. The quality was very low budget but it never became a discouragement. He eventually was able to invest in some good equipment and slowly built a professional recording studio. In November 2007 JCS released a compilation/group album along side his partner Unified, titled “The Sons Reflection, Gods Troops”. Since then JCS has been working on his debut solo project that is scheduled to release fall 2009
JCS is determined to bring the hope of the Gospel to the hip hop and urban culture. He wants the people of our nation and the world to know the goodness of such a loving saviour and to encourage men and women young and old to live a life dedicated to Jesus Christ.
